At the communication layer, HaloChat implements End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). Message content is encrypted on the sender’s device and can only be decrypted on the recipient’s device. Servers act solely as relay nodes and do not access or process plaintext data.

At the data storage layer, HaloChat does not retain user message content. Messages may be configured for automatic deletion based on user preferences, reducing the risk of data exposure resulting from device loss or server-related incidents.

From an identity and account architecture perspective, HaloChat decouples user identity from specific devices, wallets, or third-party accounts. It supports flexible authentication and account migration mechanisms, minimizing dependence on any single centralized identity provider.

Overall, HaloChat is a secure communication platform that enhances the traditional instant messaging experience by introducing stricter security boundaries and advanced privacy controls.
