HaloChat is a decentralized messaging app built on a Web3.0 architecture. With a focus on minimized data collection and user control, HaloChat is committed to providing you with a secure and private communication experience.
About Chat and Communication Content
HaloChat employs end-to-end encryption to secure private messages and group chats. Messages are only decrypted on the devices of the sender and the recipient, ensuring that HaloChat cannot view, analyze, or recover your chat content.
Chat data is stored locally on your device by default. Current backup and sync features do not include chat content.
About Account and Identity Information
HaloChat does not require you to provide a phone number, email address, or real-world identity information. During registration, the system automatically generates a unique user ID to identify your account on the HaloChat network.
You can modify or delete your HaloChat account at any time. Once deleted, your associated identity information will be removed, and the process is irreversible.
About Digital Wallet and Asset Information
HaloChat generates a default wallet for you during registration, which is used to link your account with blockchain functionalities. Your wallet's private key, recovery phrase, and security code are only held by you. HaloChat does not store or back up this sensitive information.
All transactions, including transfers and red packets, are executed on-chain. HaloChat serves only as a functional gateway and does not participate in asset custody or transaction execution.
About Backup and Cloud Sync
HaloChat offers optional backup and sync functionality to recover account information, contacts, and wallet configurations across multiple devices.
Backup data is encrypted and stored in your authorized personal cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive or Apple iCloud).
HaloChat cannot access, read, or modify your cloud storage data. You can disable the automatic sync feature at any time in the settings, but please be aware that doing so may result in data loss, which is your responsibility.
About Devices and Permissions
HaloChat only requests necessary system permissions, such as microphone, camera, or storage access, when required for functionality. All permissions are granted by you voluntarily and can be managed or revoked at any time in your device’s settings.
HaloChat does not collect your device information, location data, or usage behavior in the background.
About Data Control
You have full control over your data in HaloChat. You can delete your account, remove devices, clear local data, or stop syncing at any time, making your account disappear from the Web3 network.
HaloChat does not build user profiles, nor does it sell data or engage in ad tracking.
